Closing Remarks
On April 8, 2011, 800 job seekers and 40 companies attended the NYC Startup Job Fair.
During four hours these awesome startups greeted job seekers with unsurpassed enthusiasm and consideration as they sought candidates for over 260 local positions. The candidates—undergraduates, MBAs, developers, web designers, marketers—spanned from entry to senior level, from colleges all over the Northeast.
The NYC Startup Job Fair successfully impacted 800 job seekers who are now aware of the vibrant startup ecosystem New York has to offer.
While we hoped to convert some would-be bankers into startup aficionados, our ultimate mission was (and still is) to connect qualified students and job seekers with exciting and innovative New York-based startups.
If you were unable to attend, here is a list of this year’s startups and their respective positions. If you are qualified for a position, we encourage that you apply through their company website.
We are working on bringing you an even better event in the near future.

“New York City is finally assuming its rightful first-place position as the national leader in the high tech sector. These start-ups are evidence that Silicon Alley is alive and well in our city and that there is so much creativity and economic activity happening right now; they’re hiring now. We in government need to make sure we’re up to the task of providing the help they need to find good talent and I’m excited to see over 1000 job seekers applied to be a part of the NYC Startup Job Fair.”
Christine C. Quinn, New York City Council Speaker
